Just A Touch of Love-That’s Me

He who loves me most blessed me to write one word at a time of  poetic life events that depict various phases and stages of life.  The words of life are not all perfect, but imperfect daily striving for perfection.  Life consists of multiple uses of words in many languages and their associated actions that we use daily in all situations.

I was born and raised in Atlanta, GA and lived on Fair Street and Palmetto Avenue.  I always picked up a pencil to write something.  From what I can remember, I have written from the time that I was four years of age.  At  M. Agnes Jones Elementary School(Class of 76′), Booker T. Washington High School(Class of 81′), Clark College(now Clark Atlanta University  Class of 85′), Georgia State University, St. Leo University, DeKalb Perimeter College, and Atlanta Metropolitan State College to now, always writing something.

I realized my gift for writing from Ms. Scruggs and Mrs. Whatley while at Booker T.  and from a Professor of Literature, Dr. Gloria Blackwell , at Clark.  While I did not decide to study advance literature courses, I still longed to share life through words.  So I decided to put life into words of poetry.  I call my writings, “Simply Poetry”, because life does have poetic meaning.

I ask that you clear your mind and allow the words of my poetic writings to speak to you.  Please leave a brief comment on my poetry blog after you read each poem.

Now that you know who I am, please scroll down and review the poems recently posted.  Again, please leave comments in the comment section of each poem or go to www.speaknpoetry.com to get access to the poems or just click on the poems under “Recent Posts”, “Archives”, and “Categories”.

Thanks!
