In life we stray from our upbringing to test whether there is truth to what we have been taught by those wiser than us. Just like the protocol son, the door swings open for us to return.
HOME AGAIN
Jesus!
You heard my prayers in my despair.
You wiped my eyes and I felt your smile.
Your word you gave to comfort and save.
You healed my body from so much pain.
My burdens you bore and I hurt no more.
You filled my heart with forgiveness and love.
Turning the other cheek, I am not above.
The troubles in my life that I said caused me so much strife, was your way of saving my life.
I was taught as a child that if I stray from your way, you would forgive when I returned with open arms
I run to you now with am humble heart,
Asking for forgiveness from all that I’ve done.
Opening my heart for you to enter in.
Cleanse me from all of my sins .
Your mercy has sustained me from all of my storms.
I am home again.
In my Jesus’ arms.
