I used to wonder how my mom did it all after my dad was murdered.  Raising five children and making sure all was well with each of us.  Now that I am a mother, I realize she “just did it”.  Mother’s have practiced the phrase “JUST DO IT” since the beginning of creation.  Thank you mom for teaching me and allowing me to see you implement the “JUST DO IT MOVEMENT”.

NONE, BUT A MOTHER

Mothers, mothers

Don’t you fret

Jesus hears

Your prayers have been met

Feeling alone when husband, children are away from home

Planning each day to make sure life is easier for them to live their way

Hardly ever considering your life’s needs

Because you are wondering, “How can I please?”

Married, single

Single, married

Our hearts are filled with deeds to complete

Working, cleaning, cooking, washing, driving, managing,

Counseling, educating, learning

Giving, loving, praying, disciplining, and

Fathering for the absentee father

Is all that matters

Watching them grow,

Husband, children

Children, husband

Have been our forte’ you know

Many times when we think of loving ourselves we feel guilty and start cleaning the shelves

Sitting quietly Jesus does whisper

“You are my vessel, in you I am well pleased.

You give of yourself sacrificing your needs

Based on worldly standards you have been blessed with multiple doctorate  degrees

You are a virtuous woman indeed

Just as I rested, you must too

To finish what I have planned for you

You have stored up blessings from living my lessons

You walk and talk with my words in your heart

Your prayers I have heard

So take this time to rest your body and mind

Everything will be more than just fine

Married, single

Single, married

Stored up blessings for mothers you see

Take time to rest in me

I blessed these children with you with you,  you see

You are the only one that could mother them for me”

None, but a mother
